Driving faster to your destination isn't any better than driving at a leisurely pace, as far as saving gas goes. For every 5 mph over 55, you lose roughly 10% of your fuel economy. So even though you may have gotten to work a little earlier this morning by going 70 mph, you’ve lost roughly 30% of your fuel economy!
So don’t rush in the morning! Give yourself the time you need while reducing your pollution and saving yourself money by obeying those speed limits!
